A danmat18 asked me to do a video of how well Skype works about a month ago. I thought it would be very straight forward, but it was pretty much a nightmare trying to figure out what was going on. It was because although the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 seems to run perfectly with skype, the other, Samsung Galaxy SII HD LTE, was not as compatible it shed light on a lot of confusing problems people may have during a typical video call with Skype. It wasn't pretty. I would imagine if I ran into all the problems I encountered during an actual video call, it would have been a pretty bad experience. What I want to do is explain to you exactly what's happening when you run into these problems so you can prevent/extinguish them and have a pleasant video call.
Skype is probably the most recognized and most mature peer to peer internet calling solution. It is compatible with just about every platform. But it still has a lot of quirks and bugs that you should be aware of so you can get the most out of it when doing a video call with a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
