There are a few reasons to disable unused carrier apps.  It may be just to clean up the clutter or save a little space with updates.  But another benefit is to save battery.  Some carrier apps come with background processes that consume battery when you have absolutely no intention of using the app in the future.  With these apps, you can simply disable them.  I walk through a quick and easy way to disable apps, and a easy way to re-enable them if you ever need to in the future.
